The Saudi Food Bank (Eta’am) is recognized as the first licensed food bank in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf, dedicated to preserving blessings and reducing food waste. Together with digital transformation partner Perceci, they are reimagining how communities engage with charitable initiatives—creating accessible digital experiences that connect donors, beneficiaries, and partners in meaningful ways, while strengthening the impact of Eta’am’s mission. The “Eta’am” business model aims to build effective strategic alliances to benefit from surplus food resources and distribute them to beneficiaries, in addition to offering various packages of community initiatives specialized in the field of food support and providing safe and sustainable food for those with special social circumstances and those with limited income.
As part of its mission, Eta’am launched a comprehensive awareness campaign, Nabeha Tdoom, designed to educate children on the importance of preserving food both at home and in schools. The initiative focused on providing simple, practical tips to reduce waste and minimize environmental impact, while inspiring children to act as ambassadors of change among their peers. With Perceci’s support, this initiative was amplified through engaging digital storytelling—instilling responsibility, environmental awareness, and a culture of sustainability in future generations.
Through its partnership with Perceci, Eta’am was able to expand the reach and visibility of its mission, ensuring that surplus food resources are preserved and redirected to those who need them most. The introduction of community-driven initiatives like Nabeha Tdoom not only strengthened Eta’am’s role as a pioneer in combating food waste but also fostered a culture of responsibility among children and families. By blending digital innovation with social impact, Eta’am enhanced donor engagement, built stronger alliances, and positioned itself as a leading force in sustainable food security across the Kingdom.
